I'm getting excited! In a few hours I'll be leaving for Fortaleza, Brazil. I will soon start updating this blog regularly with what the Lord is doing in Fortaleza as well as what He is doing in my heart personally. The title of my blog is "Blessed are the Hungry" (Mt. 5:6). God has reminded me again and again that He loves it when we hunger for Him, and that this is a natural response for a man or woman who has a revelation of the glory of God. As Psalm 42:1-2 says; "As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with him?" I am looking forward to running together with brothers and sisters who are hungering for Jesus. I am looking forward to seeing God encounter those who do not yet not Him, but are hungering for purpose and for something more than what they are currently experiencing. I am looking forward to seeing God's power transform people's lives. I desire to walk in the way Paul described in 1 Corinthians 2:1-5; "When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.
